ROMA. «Si è gourmand quando si è artista o poeta» sosteneva Guy de Maupassant, allora ecco la couture 'à la cartè di Gattinoni che ha presentato all'Open Colonna, regno dello chef Antonello Colonna, una collezione di 15 capi dedicati al cibo, eccellenza italiana e tema dell'Expo 2015, presentandoli come ricercati piatti di un menu internazionale. L'originale performance è stata quindi organizzata come un pranzo, con abiti primo piatto o dessert, indossati dalle modelle statiche sopra una tavola ad U, imbandita con tanto di coperti. Guillermo Mariotto, direttore creativo della maison ha tradotto in fascino commestibile una cucina selezionata. Ha scelto tessuti, materiali, ricami e tagli che potessero interpretare un primo piatto di ravioli al vapore o una torta con meringhe. Ha utilizzato tagli, vertigini sartoriali, geometrie di ricami, lanciando le joli panier. Nulla a che vedere con le dame pre rivoluzionarie alla corte di Maria Antonietta di Francia, Mariotto giura che il joli panier, piccolo cuscinetto che rinforza il lato B, è perfetto per ogni donna, adatto a silhouette magre o slanciate. Nella food couture di Gattinoni c'è una sinfonia di forme, profumi, sapori. Con il pane s'impastano copricapo a larghe falde, si ricamano su colli e scollature biscotti, salatini appena sfornati, glassati e cristallizzati. Lo smoking da sera ricorda quello di aristocratici matre come quelli di Downton Abbey, gli uncinetti spalmati in serigrafia e le lavorazioni a filet rievocano i pranzi del Gattopardo, quelle opere d'arte che si tramandano in Sicilia, di madre in figlia. Le ruote delle gonne richiamano gli origami giapponesi, l'artificio con cui si piegano e si dispiegano tovaglioli. I colori sono mentholo,  ribes, giallo olio d'oliva), cannella sfumata sui toni del caramello, nero liquirizia, rosa fraise, bianco panna glacè. E tra i gioielli le creazioni che Gianni De Benedittis by futuroRemoto ha ideato per la collezione Gattinoni, fiori e frutta, orecchini e parure di girasoli, bracciali di pane con pietre dure, collier-fourchette in platino che avvolgono preziosi spaghetti.
