WASHINGTON.  Bandiere americane sui tetti della case e degli alberghi, t-shirt a stelle e strisce o con il volto del presidente Obama, poster che raffigurano il leader Usa insieme al presidente cubano Raul Castro, ma strade stranamente vuote all'Avana per l'arrivo del presidente Usa, secondo i media americani. I cubani avrebbero spiegato la cosa con i moniti delle autorità sul traffico e sulle chiusure delle strade, oltre che alla mancata richiesta del governo di radunarsi, una prassi per accogliere le folle. L'apparato di sicurezza cubano, inoltre, è ovunque, anche con agenti in borghese, lungo ogni angolo del percorso riservato a Obama.
